Following the fire that broke out in our NofaLab laboratory in Schiedam, Rotterdam on 4th May, we have been working hard to assess the damage and ensuring business continuity for our clients.
On the 4th May we informed you about a fire that took place in our laboratory in Schiedam, Rotterdam.
Today, taking inventory of the damage and investigating the different possibilities for restarting our impacted analyses is currently our key focus. However, as a member of the Cotecna Group, Nofa can rely on its strong internal organisation and international network to make sure we continue to leverage our experience and knowledge to deliver to you our services with the speed and quality you have come to expect. In particular, we have been working closely with Neotron, a leading European food safety laboratory and Cotecna Group member, based in Modena, Italy, who have been supporting us throughout this process.
In consultation with the Dutch Accreditation Council, we have decided to request for temporary suspension of the accredited analyses that we are currently unable to perform ourselves. The accreditation for NofaLab will be retained and analyses that are carried out by us will also remain unchanged under accreditation (RvA L440). The (standard) procedure used by the RvA must help us to quickly carry out our analyses under accreditation again.
We will be informing you about our plans for the restart in the coming days.
It there are any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 0031 (10) 427 96 20 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
